On October 20, 2012, The
Valley and Southern Nevada celebrates Make a Difference Day. In light of this,
the Howard Hughes Corporation, along with the local government, environtmetal
organizations, and Summerlin residents planned a clean up event. The
organization of this ecvent urged residents and corporations to join in and
help clean the Summerlin desert. The event takes palce on October 12 at 8 to 10
am. The scope of the clean up drive encompasses the end part Maule Avenue, as
well as underdeveloped areas of Southern Summerlin. Interested individuals and

drive involves collection of garbage and sweeping, during the previous events,
the clean up drive collected 370 tons of garbage, which makes the areas
beautiful and safe. Organization and in part by The Howard Hughes Corporation
is thrilled by the prospect of many volunteers as a way to keep the environment
consciousness alive.
Summerlin is a master planned
luxury communities, which started in the 1990s. For more than 20 years,
